Please note that all race packs will be available to collect on the morning of the race, or by pre-arrangenment on the Saturday pre-race.

When can I register for the race?

Entry is now open.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend the race?

Sorry we cannot give refunds.

Is there car parking?

There is limited car parking in the Woods car-park. Once these are full we ask entrants to park SENSIBLY and WITH DUE CARE on surrounding streets. Please be aware of BUS ROUTES, and ensure your car does not block their access.

Where is the start?

Start of race is at Grove Park.

1 Mile Family Run 10.00am start

5 Mile Walk 10.10am start

5 Mile Race 10.30am start

Can I register on the day?

Yes, if we have not sold out.

Is there first aid?

First Aid cover is supplied.

Is there a fun run for kids?

Yes

Who organises the race?

The race is organised by The Running Community to raise funds for two of Kirste’s favourite charities.

Are there toilets at the start?

There are  a number of porta loos/urinals at the start/finish area.

Is there a minimum age for the main 5 mile race?

Yes there is. You must be 15 years old or above on the day of the race.

There is no age limit for the 1 mile fun run.

How many entrants are there?

Due to the popularity of the race, we will have to set a race limit this year.

Enter early to avoid disappointment!

Are there any prizes?

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female.
Each runner will receive Kirste 5 Race Medal.

Is the course suitable for wheelchairs?

We feel that the course is not suitable for people wanting to bring wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Is the course suitable for Walkers, and Nordic Walking?

YES!
We feel that the course is suitable for Walking, Nordic Walking.
We have a slightly earlier start for our walkers, last year this was a 10:10am start.

Can I wear headphones?

If you want to, but we feel that may jeopardise your own safety and limit your enjoyment.

Entrants do so at their own risk.

Can I run with my dog?

Although the course is dog-friendly, UKA Rules stipulate not.

Is there a team category?

Yes, check entry form for details. All team members must be listed as the same club on the entry form.

Entrants acknowledge and agree:

They only undertake such an activity to a level which reflects my level of fitness;

They are responsible for monitoring my own physical condition prior to and during participation in the Event;

They agree that my participation in the Event is for recreational and/or charity fundraising purposes only and I will not participate in the Event for any commercial or business purpose. The Event organiser will have no liability to the Participant for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or other loss of business opportunity.

How do you store my data ?

The Kirste 5 Memorial Race is responsible for the personal data it holds about you.

Your personal data will be:

  • Processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner,
  • Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and processed accordingly,
  • Adequate, relevant and limited to the purpose it was collected for,
  • Accurate and kept up-to-date,
  • Corrected or removed without delay if incorrect,
  • Not kept for longer than required for the intended purposes,
  • Processed so that it is kept securely.

You agree that we may publish your Personal Information as part of the results of the Event and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times, occupation and age category.

Failure to follow event rules could result in disqualification and the Race Directors decision is final.
